What do you give a dog that is having seizures?

I have an 11 year old American Eskimo. She has been dropping her rearend and whimpering of and on for about 6 months. She barks at things that are not there and is becoming very clingy. She wants to be next to someone all the time. Last night she had what seemed to be a grand mall seizure. My friend was with her when it happened and he thought she died. He spent about an hour sitting on the kitchen floor with her. What can I give her to help her out? I don't want her to be in any pain.
