I agree with you 100%. We should take care of our own first. Unfortunately, we have a majority of legislators in our government who believe they can purchase favors or peace from foreigh governments by bribing them with money and food.

For example, imagine how much US taxpayer money our government has given to North Korea for aid. Does anyone actually believe any of that money goes to the allegedly starving people who need it in Korea? I guess not, because even with all the money we've given them over the years, they're supposedly worse off now than they've ever been. I find it abhorrent that our government cares more about them than our own sick, homeless and uneducated in the United States.

It seems to me that the North Korean government is more repressive and nonresponsive to its own people than Hussein was to his in Iraq. So why did we invade Iraq? Easy answer. We have no evidence of massive oil reserves in North Korea.

I don't think that they are in bed with them. But they all realize that we can't be a world superpower (if we still qualify) without having the oil we need to use it for everything we use it for.

Oil prices are so high because of a lack oil refinery capacity and prices are dictated by the free market place (like the stock market). The law of supply and demand are the factors. Once we stop using so much oil, not just for gasoline but plastics, heating oil, rubber, the list goes on & on then the demand will be lower and therefore the prices will come down. If we do not keep the peace with North Korea, Iran , China then there could possibly be a nuclear war and everyone would die and our world would be contaminated for 1000's of years to come

To understand the cost of oil and corruption in our government one must learn who controls it.
Our constitution says it is "of the people, by the people and for the people." However, "the people" are complacent and have a 'let someone else do it or ... be responsible' attitude. To learn who now owns our politicians check out: "The Money Masters" or go to YouTube and type that in so you can watch it in segments 'cause it's a 3 hr. video...and extremely enlightening. I am old enough to know its truth.
Another source to check out is "The End Game" video and "News with Views" for honest input versus the controlled media most people rely on for information. Great to see you want answers!
