Unemployment extension

I heard just yesterday that President Obama has passed or is working on passing an additional ext. for unemployment so that when a person's 1st ext. expires, they would be eligible for a 2nd ext. Is this true? And if so, when would it be in effect? And how long would the ext. be? I heard it would be quite a long one.
Thank you.

It is true, but only if your state qualifies. There must be an unemployment rate of 7% (i think, maybe 6). If you are unsure contact your state unemployment office or look on their website.
