Are the batteries allowed to be removed from the AC unit. In our house there is a 1 year old, 3 year old and an 8 month pregnant woman. And one of tenents believes she is incharge of the household. Although she is the not the only one on the lease. And removed the batteries from the AC unit and the temperature outside is at least 100 degrees if not more. I know a landlord by law cant do that. But can a tenant do it out of spite just to be mean and try to make everyone move out. What are my rights in this situation.

You should call your landlord and report it,know tenant has the right to touch the unit. I am surprized that you haven't reported it already. She must have a seriou promblem if she is doing things like this it is hot and your kids as well as you should not have to deal with this.
