How do I obtain keys to my rented home if the landlord/realty company refuses to provide keys to the door to the home(front door and inside door)?

I signed a lease to occupy a home on August 1, 2008 thru July 31, 2009. A security deposit and first months rent were paid between the dates of July 18, 2008 thru August 1, 2008 for a total of $1290.00. Once I obtained the lease, I was given 1 key for the home. When I arrived at the home, I was able to gain entry through the front main door. The inside door was already unlocked. I checked the key with the inside door and the back door, and I came to notice that the key did not fit the locks on these doors. I called the landlord and asked if they had keys, they stated that they did not and that the locks on the doors needed to be replaced, which in turn I was told was my responsibility to do, not theirs. On the night of 08/11/2008, I was accidently locked out of my home. I called the landlord and stated to her that I need someone to come out and unlock the door. I was told that if I need to gain access, she would call a locksmith and have the unlock the door, but I had to pay for the locksmith since the locks were not changed by me. I stated to the landlord that I should not be resposible for locks on doors that I did not place and that they knew were there. As of today, my children and I have been sleeping outside of the house on the front porch. All of my faxes, emails and telephone messages have gone unanswered. I need to know what are my rights as a tenant.
