Indiana Law - Where is the legal property line along the Wabash River for property owners.

DNR says property line is at the water edge. I have read older documents that state the vegetation edge. If the river is flooded can I hunt or fish above the owners fields? Where can I find todays laws in writing?

Do you have a survey or a title search for your property? If not, contact the Hall of Records to provide answers to your property/deed questions. Also, you should have a title search of your property, for legal reasons, and just in case you want to sell.

Good luck!

I'm more concerned where a person can hunt and fish along the river banks. Where can they legally take a boat down the river and pull up to the bank step out of the boat onto the bank and fish or hunt. When the river level is low is the property line for the owner different then when the river level is high. Are we on someone's property when the river level is out of its banks and someone gets off the main part of the river? There are laws covering this and I would like to know here to get them if that is possible. Please help.
