Quit Claim Deed

My step-father gave my mother a Quit Claim Deed on his property in 1987. In 1991 he made a Will and in that Will gave my mother the same property. Does a Will over-ride a Quit Claim Deed?
This is property in the state of Florida)

Clarification --- My step-father in a Will dated 1991 willed his property to my Mother. But, in 1987, he had made a Quit-Claim Deed to his daughter for the same property. Does a Will over-ride the Quit Claim Deed?
