It Isn't safe to drink beer while your taking any medicine.

Alcohol and prescription drugs do not ever mix

There is no real interaction between Prednisone and alcohol; and it shouldn't prevent the drug from doing what its supposed to do.

However, given the nature between most drugs and alcohol, I would suggest advising your doctor if you plan to drink 3 - 4 bottles of beer every evening, so that may be taken into account if the Prednisone doesn't clear up the irritation, inflammation or reduce the swelling that it's supposed to.

Having an alcoholic beverage while on predisone increases your chance for stomche ulcers. If you dont have a history of stomach problems and you dont mind possibley getting an ulcer, than I would have to say a beer at night would be fine. I definitly would not drink it to close to your dose and I would not do it regularly or have more than 1 or
