Mom to be with questions about who has more rights when it comes to my child. Me and child's father are not married jus boyfriend and girlfriend.

I'm a mother to be about to give birth any day now an i was wondeing what my rights were compaired to my boyfriend's(the child's father) since we're not marries and don't live together. Does he have the same rights as me when it comes to my baby even though she'll be living with me and is going to be covered under my health insurance? I've heard that since i'm mom i have more of a say so in things than he does but he keeps saying that we're equal. I live in ohio and am unsure what the laws r for my state. Any information would be helpful. thank you in advance.

If he is the biological father of the child then he has the exact same rights as you unless there is a legal agreement stating otherwise.

If he does not take you to court you have all of the say. However if he does take you to court the court will more than likely award him visitation on the weekends. Hopes this helps you.
