Date Night

My hubby and I are having our date night this weekend. We haven't had one since May. I'm trying to figure out something to do other than dinner and a movie (although we haven't been to a movie in like 6 months). We don't have a whole lotta $$ to spend. We were wanting to go to central city, but thats not do-able. We aren't into artsy stuff or sports. I was thinking of dave and busters but we don't want to drive to denver (we are in No. Co.) Any suggestions for something fun for couples, but affordable?

How about these.

1. Going to see a concert, or band that you both enjoy.

2. Have fun at an archade playing games and making bets on who wins.

3. Putt Putt Golf, Bowling, Darts, or a game of pool.

check your local papers for events and happenings like wine and beer tasting, jazzfest, etc.

You should find a way to do date night, like at least once or twice a month. since may is a long time.

are you into the bar/club scene? you could go over to Cactus Canyon ( i think it is still open)

Greeley stampade (or whatever it is called) could be fun if you like going to country concerts, but that isn't till summer.

skoolie's idea of putt putt, darts, bowling is always good.

there is boondocks fun center up at 120th and i-25 that i think has putt putt, go karts, and the like.

what about dinner and a movie?

or a weekend hike?

Definatly some good suggestions. We are wanting to avoid the bar scene since we enjoy bars too much. ;-) We usually drink too much and end up calling friends over so the "date" goes out the window. (btw- I hate the cactus - too many hicks and wanna be's)
We watch a lot of movies at home so thats why I'm looking for something different. At the moment bowling sounds pretty good - I'm not allowed to play darts anymore...

Check with bowling alley 1st if that is what you decide, alot have leagues going on.
With drinking out, I have no suggestions!
But will keep thinking.
Do you have hot tub places where they set up a tub in your house or yard in NC?

Lol ruchelle. actually i got in trouble w/ both tips, only I didn't actually injure anyone w/ soft, but there was property damage. I will check out the site.
I don't think we have anything like that airforcemom. At least I've never heard of it. I'm actually in N Colorado not NC. ;-) A hot tub would be nice on these cold nights, but I don't have a fence yet, so it may cause probs w/ the nieghbors. Either they will want to join or they will call the cops...

BTW - drinking is fine, it's the bar scene I want to avoid. We tend to drink way too much if we are at a bar.

Since, its winter (and even though most of us are tired of the coldness) you could embrace the option of a winter activity.

Ice skating would be fun. You could bundle up. Skate together holding hands, and get some hot chocolate afterwards to warm up. (starbucks has some good warm peppermint coffee)

Or heres my favorite thing to do on a date: a walk through the park (during any season), talking, holding hands, maybe a snack, and of course my fave: PICTURES. no stroll through the park is complete without pictures.

good luck doll....

Or, i could say your problem is that you live in Greeley. :P

If you moved to a city that is civilized, you wouldn't be having this problem. hehe

I should also mention that cover bands can be a lot of fun. It may still be a bar type scene but there is an end point so you wouldn't get caught up drinking too much or anything. There is a great sublime cover band here that we like to go see and we sing along or two each other.

or what about Fondue and and a few drinks, or trying a different style food. I'm dying to try real spanish cuisine. Another fav of ours is the sushi bar we go to and we always try different things on the menu.

I wanted to do a cooking class together since we both love to cook. He is interested but we've never done it.

Coffee House

I've heard you guys up in CO have wonderful breweries so what about a brewery tour.

Dinner Theaters are also an option some can be hokey but some can be real fun.

Date time is also a good time to indulge in things you wouldn't everyday.
Things like a lucious dessert paired with wine.
