If your name is on the mortgage papers and other loan papers, you are responsible for half. If the mortgage company fails to get money out of your ex, chances are you will be responsible for the full amount. The collectors are responsible for collecting the money any legal way possible. You don't say in your question whether or not you can financially afford to make these payments, but if you can it would be in your best interest to make them. You can turn around and put your husband in contempt of court because I am sure that under these circumstances the judge will require him to pay half. The only other way to get your name off of the house would be to sell it. Then you can use the proceeds to pay off your mortgage and the other loans.
