There has to be an Adam and Eve even science can not refute it.
we are all created from a single life. Now, that single life may have been a living cell that divided and evolved into other species but eventually there was a First couple. They were conscious and they could think for themselves.

Seeing as how no other humans were there to witness it, and the probability that there was no actual spoken or written language at the time, it could very well be allegorical, just as the seven days to create everything were most definitely not achieved in seven days. Even the nuns at my Catholic elementary school in the '60s acknowledged as much.

There was without a doubt an Adam and a Eve. God said so in his Holy Book, so it is a fact. God did create the world in 6 days and rested on the seventh. The Bible tels me so.

I don't believe that there was an Adam and Eve but I cannot say that there was not. It's a question that has no definite answer.
