I don't think you made a fool of yourself at all! Not in the slightest! You just gave your true feelings, which seem far more compassionate and human then hers. Don't take it personally. she's obviously hung up in the past or for whatever reason not ready to forgive and forget. Now that you've let her know you're there I am sure she is thinking about it. She now knows how to get in touch with you whenever she's ready. Reaching out to someone isn't foolish. Good luck to you!

My Ex-friend
Recently I found my ex friend from years ago like 30 years ago. I found her and wrote to her. She is a professor in NYC. SHe finally wrote back to me like weeks after and when she did you can read her hurt. She told me that she was such a good friend and she didn't need me to treat her the way I did etc. I felt bad. I was young like 19, I am now 55 and so is she. I wrote back and even send her a book on forgiveness etc. I even asked her forgiveness and admited my fault to her that I was wrong but there was good also. She never ever acknowledged my forgiveness neither did she ever write back after I sent her about forgiveness. I pray for her and hope that someday I will hear from her and the friends we were 30 yrs ago but forgiving, if not, I did my part. I did the right thing and humble myself forgiveness, did I or did I make a fool out of myself?
