Is trust ever truly regained in a relationship once it has been damaged by lieing

I went back to my home town for the thanksgiving holiday my girlfriend with two kids spent nearly the entire time I was gone at her babies daddy's house. I realize he will always be in his daughters life but this is a man my GF claims to not be able to stand. Well there was a large window of time where all my calls were ignored and txt not replied. When asked about she claims to have left her phone at home and went to lunch with her mother. When I got back in town we went to lunch with her mother and the topic came up and she came out and admitted she had lied but gave no reason for why or where she really was. Although a white lie a lie non the less and now my trust in her seems to always be at question when before it never was. What can I do to rebiuld trust or is it possible?

You just have to trust her again, with no reason to do so. It is called faith. You just have to believe all the time that what she says is the truth.

Because if you don't, then it will be difficult to keep the relationship going. If a couple can't trust what the other one is saying, they will have problems.

So take the first step, forgive her for all that she did, and just have faith and take at face value what she says is the truth.

If you truly love someone you should trust them because everyone is not perfect, i know its not good to lie but maybe she was afraid to tell you the truth so she wouldnt lose you!!! and the truth may hurt!!!!
