Money is the leading cause of divorce. Not having enough of it, one spouse making more money than the other, or hiding money from each other can tear a marriage apart. Ideally, husband and wife should be up front and honest about their financial situations. They should agree to pay all bills up front and discuss all major purchases with one another. In the event that one spouse becomes unemployed, it is important not to embarass or ridicule them about income and to include them in any financial decisions affecting the household.

In most cases, the man usely earn more money than his spouse, but the spouse spends more money than she should on a shopping spree, therefore, th husband and wife both should have a joint account, and it would take, both of them to singe a check, before any monies could be with drown from the account, hey after all, money is the root of all evil, right? Good luck

They should talk about their money and how it should be spent. I see all of the time unhapy young men working and spining their wheels because they work hard and bring the money homeand their wives spend it all at walmart or kirkland or just act like they are rich until the money is gone then they are mad because they can't pay bills or buy food. It doesn't make any diferent if the guy makes 70,000.00 a year or 30,ooo.Oo. Most women cannot manage money. I am not. Cutt.Ing women down. I am telling the thuth. I am a woman. Only i am from the old school. You ask ,this my opinion.

It's all about communication, whether it's about money, responsibilities, sex, religious and political beliefs. And it will always decide ultimately if the relationship will hold together or not. If one of you is better at managing money than the other, that person should be put in charge with the understanding that there is always room for discussion but that the household's money manager will have the final say. This requires a mutual respect for each other's strengths. It just so happens that my wife and I are both very good at managing money, but she is the manager because she's extremely good at it and it's worked out fine for over 25 years. Most of the women I know are very good at managing money. I don't know about the previous answer, that has not been my experience.
