Will I get green card?

I am a student on F-1 visa. I have two years of visa left. I got married with USA citizen in July, 2009. We love each other so much. We don't stay together. Because I am staying in University. But, we spend most of our time together. We are planning to live together after I graduate. She is already graduated. We are planning to live in USA. What steps we should take so that I can stay in USA? And How should I apply for green card?

I would recommend to register for a marriage certificate at the district court of where you live, and both of you have to be there together with both of your passports. Then you have to wait for a few days for a marriage certificate to be sent to your house from the court. Once both of you are ready to get married, contact the priest who can conduct the wedding ceremony for you. The priest will sign your marriage certificate, and you can start the application.

You can hire a lawyer to help you, or you can file the application yourself. Be prepare to have your birth certificate translated in English and notarized to submit with the application, and she has to have income higher than $18,000 per year. The INS will look for her tax return for the last 3 years. If she doesn’t have that, both of you can get a joint sponsor such her parents with the last 3 years of their income tax as well. While at the same time, both of you should gather the information about each other as much as possible such as the pictures of both of you and with friends.
