Be a kid and grow up! Your become an adult too soon and you should be having fun, not worrying about relationships. Plus, here is your problem. Girls mature much faster than boys. So if you are in 8th grade and he is in 6th grade, it is like you wanting to go out with a 4th grader! Not COOL! You should wait until you are at least 16 to date, and when the the boy can drive and has a job to pay for your meal and a movie! Going out isn't your mom and dad taking you and paying for you! Trust me, stay a kid as long as you can!

If you really like him, and you are sure that he really likes you then you should go for it, but be prepared that it's not going to be easy. You've got to think and decide whether the difficulties you are going to face are worth it, and do remember you may be risking your friendship with him too.

Any age gap is difficult, and society is more judgemental if the boy is younger, and it is particularly hard when you are at school, but it does not mean it's impossible.
