A cousin of your own cousin. Say your uncles son(your cousin) has a cousin on his mum's side who is not directly related to you.

Actually, a second cousin is someone with whom you share the same great-grandparents, but not the same grandparents. Most commonly, these people are your parent's cousins.

If the above answer was correct, we would all be cousins. For example, my cousins are related to me because we have the same grandparents, our mothers are sisters. However, they have cousins who are their father's brother's children. That is not my family, and I am not related to those children. Regardless of the fact that they are my cousin's cousin's, they are not my second cousins.
