Why is abortion so wrong?

Won't having a baby upset a girl's future plans?

Abortion is an individual's choice ut a segment of society insists that it is morally wrong. They see it as taking a life, however, so then is capital punishment or sending troops to war when the country isn't attacked. I have found in my opinion that the anti abortion movement cares for the child in the womb but doesn't give a damn for the child once it is born. You were given free will as as you grow, you will have that free will come into play more and more. It's what you want to do that counts when it comes to abortion not what others want. As far as messing up a girl's future plan then you must look at it like this, if a child isn't in your plans, then abstain from having sex or make sure you and your partner are protected from the unwanted pregnancy. It you decide to have unprotected sex and you get pregnant, then your choice was wrong and you have to face it.

Abortion is wrong for many many reasons. Here is a picture of a baby after it was aborted by means of salt poisoning.
Tell me how one could live with themself after doing this to a baby.

Abortion is wrong in some cases... LissaC, I usually agree with what you say.. but the awful pictures that anti-abortion protests show, like the above, are really too much. It is YOUR choice... It is wrong to use abortion as birth control.. and to mistreat any right we have.
However.. I have four children now... and took every precaution NOT to get pregnant as a teenager.. I did not.. but had I.. I would have considered, and most likely had an abortion.
Is it better to have the child and not be able to care for it or yourself?
Adoption is a wonderful option.. but again it is YOUR CHOICE.
With four daughters, the subject is not taken lightly... but if they have the need to ever have to make this choice.. it will be that.. .their choice.. and those who push their beliefs on others with scare tactics and gruesome pictures, are trying to push their choices onto others..
So whether or not it is "wrong" is completely your belief...
It will always be a touchy subject, as you are dealing with an emotional issues.. with each side believing they are right..
Only you yourself can decide if it is right or not for you in the situation that you are in at the time.....

Everyone has a right to their opinons about abortion, I think if more woman and men practiced safe sex,we wouldn't need to have these constant issues about abortion. I would not show anyone pictures like what is shown above, theres better ways to exspress how you feel, it is not so much that having a baby ruins a life, it is just that it may be the wrong timing, but that does not mean that by having the baby,it can't become a blessing in your life or someone else's, there are so many homes out there and couples who would love the chance of having a baby, and have all the love required to love your child, does that not sound like a much happier way of going for you, then to not give your baby a chance in this world,it is not the fault of the baby.

I would start by saying that I do support abortion, and a woman's right to choose. I do not believe that telling someone they cannot do something just because you don't believe in it is right. However, if it were my choice between abortion or keeping the baby, I would keep the baby.

That is my choice, not anyone else to decide (except for the mother, of course!) much like if I decided that abortion would be the best option. People wouldn't want me to tell them what they can or cannot do, and I would appreciate the same treatment.

However I do recognize that there are two main reasons why abortion is wrong: one of the reasons is that you're taking the life of a very small human. Yes, it is unfortunate, but its the simple fact. Granted, many parts of it's body still are forming, or haven't formed yet, so it isn't a full human. A woman that is willing to do this is something she will have to think about and live with, and that is my second reason why it is wrong.

A woman might regret the abortion months or even years after the operation, and feel sorrow for her child that never was. It could be emotionally damaging, and something that has to be thought of by a woman deciding whether or not she should do it.

I have a few friends that have had abortions and now regret it.
I never tell anyone that abortion is ok and if someone asks me, I tell them my opinion and I try to talk them out of it because I have seen girls do this and regret it later. Once it is done, there is no going back, you have to live with it forever!
There are ways of getting ready for an unexpected baby. I know because I have 2 unexpected babies and they have everything they need, and they are VERY happy!
Abortion is wrong! PERIOD!
If you don't want my opinion, dont ask for it.
