You can still have sex, the pain you are feeling will not affect the baby. Some doctors actually recommend sex when the due date is approaching or past, as something in semen helps to induce labor. If its too soon before the due date though, you don't want to induce labor so, I'd ask your doctor for more specific instructions.

I would definitely ask the doctor about it first, but providing he says it's okay, you might just need to try a different position and perhaps it might hurt less. There are certain positions that are easier on a pregnant body. Try the spooning position, or girl on top, or on hands and knees. But please check with your OB first to be on the safe side!
