My 15-year-old Nephew Has Some Issues. How to Talk to Him?

My teenager nephew who has lost both of his parents when he was 6 years old and now living with my older sister, but my sister is getting married and is moving to another country very soon. My nephew is going to live with my dad from now on, but lately my nephew has been acting strange and disrespectful towards everyone in my family. I know that he is upset that my sister is leaving, and he said that nobody loves him like his real parents would do. Everyone in my family has given him love and care the same way that his parents would do, but it doesn’t seem the same to him. I am afraid that his behavior will get worst than this. How can we approach him and talk to him about this?

This kid's already been through enough without more being thrown at him. He feels like a pass around pack of popcorn and I'm sure he's feeling like a burden to everyone. What he needs is a big brother, someone he can talk to and hang out with without being inhibted by aunts, uncles and new men in her life. Contact Big Brothers Big Sisters and get him someone to talk to or even chat online. I'm sure you've made every effort to love him but there are times when a kid sees his friends with parents and knows that he's really alone. He just needs to talk. Let me know if I can help,

Your nephew is reverting back to six years old when his parents died. He lost them permantly and then attached himself to your sister who became his mother. I am sure that when she first took over his care, that she told him things like "i will always be there", "you are safe with me". and other comments to help him adjust. To your nephew, this is worse than his parents dying because they didn't want to leave him. In his mind your sister is throwing him away.

The reality of it is that for whatever reason, your sister cannot take him. It is too bad because at his age he needs her more now than ever. The worst year for a kid is his sophmore year and 15. Things are clashing inside him that cause him to be irrational and loopy at times. I remember 15, it was horrible.

It is really too bad that your sister can't take him with her or wait for 2 years to move.

your nephew is having a clash of emotions: fear, hate, love, confusion, neglect. He is not wrong in feeling this way.

There is a program out there called the Total Transformation Program.

James Lehman, MSW created this program and guarantees that you will see results. He will even let you try it for 30 days (costs $19) and if you like it he will charge your credit card. This program is very expensive ($320) But he offers a money back guarantee.

I ordered one and am about to start on it my self. I am sure it will give you what you are looking for
