I dontt hink there is anything that you can do at home, if her knee is warm, it is an infection adn needs to bee seen by a doctor. I know this is hard with no insurance, but you need to get this under control, ASAP!
Did she get bit, cut, scrapped or anything that would cause an infection?

No she didn't fall and she doesn't have any cuts or bruises if she gets a fever then I should take her to the doc wouldn't that mean she has an infection?

If you have no chances to see a doctor, try to apply a compress: 1/2 of any antiinflammatory ointment with 1/2 Dimethylsulfoxide (or only an ointment).

Well if she is complaining of her knee hurting alot and she is limping then i would take her to the doctors and have them look at it cause i was going through the samething about two years and i finally went and seen a specialist about my knee and they had to go in and break my knee bone and let it heal back on it's own.And what you can do about it feeling hot is keep ice on it for about a half hour and then take it off and keep repeatingg it about every two hours.

She could have water on the knee, this is caused when you hit your knee fairly hard . i would go to the doctors and have them check it out. water on the knee is somewhat minor but very uncomfortable. it is easily repaired by removing the water with a needle.
