No. Actually several cacti have rather colorful, exotic blooms, when it is the proper season. Have you heard of the Painted Desert in Arizona? Immediately following the monsoon season there, in which there is a large, heavy rainfall, the desert seems to come alive with color. This is because the cacti are in bloom with bright, colorful flowers. However, the season is short, as the extra moisture is soon gone. But it is enough time for the reproductive cycle of cacti.
