Do you think it's wrong that you can ask your science questions here?

Are any of you teachers or students? It seems that a lot of science questions asked are homework questions... I wonder what teachers do now to ensure that you are doing the work. Do you know?

I think that any good teacher will look for changes in responses or homework that indicate a big change from the past. If they see something like this, asking the student to share how they got the information and asking more details will probably cause anyone using these responses to buckle when under question. Also, if they don't get the answer here, there's a lot of sites on the net where they can ask. Further, sadly, some of them won't filter out some of the sarcastic comments from the real - which will be very humorous.

I think it's okay, as long as you understand that you need to really learn the subject - and not just copy somebody else's answer just to get a good grade. besides, you need to find the answer somewhere anyways. the important thing is not to cheat because you'll only cheat yourself in the end.

I actually like asking science facts I do not know - all for personal gain. I'm well out of college and like Science trivia. This is some of the best stuff out there!

I think even if someone is doing for homework help - it should probably be okay.

Looking for answers on a site that just furnishes answers you write down and turn in is "cheating." If you're a Democrat, I suppose that is OK, but for everyone else there should be obvious pride and ethical problems with cheating.

As for whether or not teachers know you're cheating; there is an Internet services used mostly by colleges (but catching on more and more in high schools) that permits teachers to go to a special site, enter a student's answers and then obtain a listing of every site on the Internet where that answer is posted. So a student who takes an answer at this site and submits it in an assignment using the same wording and syntax will eventually be caught.
