I'm not sure I'd miss Florida. That said, yes, it bothers me in as much as we've had a huge impact on the planet. I think we wipe out several species of animals every day yet many people hold humans up as the most intelligent creatures on the planets. However, the earth has always and will continue to have major changes in climate. There have been a number of ice ages and hot ages. Sadly, we're contributing to the ability of the planet to effectively regulate itself.

Global warming is definatly happening according to NASA which tells us that the earth's average temperature has risen 1 degree since 1880. People blindly believe that science will fix everything. That we don't need to make changes in our everyday life because Joe MIT will figure out something. We need to be a little more proactive in our own lives.
I heard this quote, but I don't know who it is from: 'We don't inherit the earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children'

Global warming is a hoax that was invented by enviromentalist. Yaeh sure the artic cap is shrinking, but the antartic cap grows more every year. If there was such a thing as global warming wouldnt both Ice caps shrink? The town I live in has the coldest maned weather station in the country, and every winter we set new record low tempatures here. That does not sound like global warming to me. At the College here in town there is a trend on scientific study. It doesent matter what your area of reaserch is, you cant get funding unless you include global warming in your papers. I think that some of the steps to combat Global warming are good envirometaly friendly practices, but you cant stop something that isn't happening.

I think it is a major concern that is not being treated in the manner it should be. There will be so many changes and there already has been Just look at the storms in the last few years all the hurricanes and tornados hitting places that do not normal have them. I was thinking that it wasent going to cause an affect while I was alive and I am 27 but I think I was wrong I think I will see it before I go. Now that the damage is done what could we possible do to fix it. I think that in order to do something in this world people have to unite we cannot just all sit back and expect the goverment to make it go away. But I dont think there is many people that will unite to make a change. Cant even get anybody to unite to stop the price of gas going up. This is our country and its our money there profiting from. So It is gonna have to be us together to make a change .

Global warming is real. Funny how this subject may have as much controversy as Pres Bush (no, I'm not starting anything), but seriously affects every one of us and our children. I don't have the energy to get into the science (which has already been addressed here), but as tacky and dumb as it sounds the movie "The day after tomorrow" is very real. Also, I personally think anyone who lives in Florida or Gulf area is nuts. lol. Last but not least, 2012 and the Mayan Calendar. Thats all I have to say about that. :-)
