Yes, there is global warming going on.

Al Gore just won the Nobel Peace prize for his work to further the cause of global warming and his documentary an inconvenient truth.

stopping and slowing down global warming is a large task that the entire world needs to get on board to fix. as it requires a world wide reduction in CO2 emissions and an increased use in alternative forms of fuel such as solar power and wind power.

And all countries includes places like China and India, 3rd world countries and even the US (the largest source of infractions and CO2 emissions)

It appears that the earth is getting warmer - more in some areas than in others - some areas are actually cooling. The truth of the matter is that we humans have very little to do with any warming or cooling and can hardly effect any change if we do everything possible that we think might change it.

One volcano puts more ash in the air in minutes than all of humankind since the inception of modern man - so think about cleaning up all the stuff from 5-10,000 years BC (I still use BC instead of the PC CE or BCE because there is no reason to do so) to current - and realize another Mount Pinitubo eruption wipes out all the cleaning!

So do I think we shouldn't use cleaner, more environmentally friendly products? I do think we should consider the impact of what we do to our environment - but we should think through what we do. Using corn, for example, to create alchohol to burn in an internal combustion engine - didn't help anyone but the corn farmer. Now corn prices - and anything that eats corn (beef, chicken, hens for eggs, hogs) all go up and now are less efficient. Corn isn't free of impact on other things (tacos anyone).

Hydrogen fuel cells can power a car like we expect one to run now - with an output of O2 and water. It is free - that is it won't have any detrimental effect on any other product if it is used. Now that makes sense.

Do I need to consider my personal carbon footprint? No. That is a waste of time and effort.

Global temperature goes up and down in cycles. The Earth has always experienced alternating successive periods of warming and cooling. It is a natural phenomena caused primarily by the rising and falling temperature of our sun. Yes, the Earth was in a warming cycle several years ago but current research indicates the temperature has remained almost completely stable for the past nine years. The publicity surrounding global warming and its possible effects is driven by the "opinions" of many celebrities, politicians and scientists who probably couldn't read a thermometer correctly if required. The bottom line is that there is absolutely no credible scientific proof that man causes or can do anything about global warming. It just became a political fad much the same way "Nuclear Winter" was a fad in the 80s. It was subsequently proven that the whole nuclear winter theory was an accidental hoax. In case you haven't noticed, the politicians aren't talking much about global warming lately. That's because of the absence of any credible scientific evidence in that area. Check out the situation in 10 - 15 years. Everybody will have become paranoid about global cooling. Don't worry about the icecaps melting away. They will recede as they have over and over for the millions of years of Earth's existence, but a world flood caused by melting icecaps is not likely in your lifetime or the lifetime of your children or your grandchildren. A good policy in life is to confront people who try to make you believe something by saying, "prove it."

The reason for global warming is the heating of earth and our ozone layer that all happened because of pollutants but lighting is the only thing that is able to fix the ozone so if we all could help earth out dont u think we could save her. Solar panels, car pooling, hydrogen fuel cell cars, solar cars all of this can save earth. So how bout everyone help out the best thing GOD created
