You know, in a sad way it's kind of fun seeing if you can remember how to do these equations. I'll give it a stab.

1. Get the x's on one side: 2x+7x-1<29
2. 9x-1<29
3. 9x<30
4. x<30/9
5. x<3.33333

You have to combine the like terms when they are on the opposit side subtract or add the smallest to both sides with botht he variable and the real number then follow you steps as you have lerned from an equation like 9x=3 or y=3x+9
