The general format of a linear equation is y = mx+b. Depending on the line you are finding the linear equation for, you will need to fill in the m and b parts of the equation. the m part is the slope of the line ( rise over run) and the b is the y intercept ( the place where the line crosses the y axis (vertical axis))
