Simple Harmonic Motion

1. A wire of mass per unit length 5.0g/m is stretched b/w two points 30cm apart.The tension in the wire is 70N.Calculate the frequency of the sound emitted by the wire when it oscillates in its fundamental mode.

2.The periodic time of a pendulum executing simple harmonic motion is 2s.After how much interval from t=0,will its displacement be half of its amplitude?Please show all workings in each problem.
