How does the suns gravity effect the solar system?

The gravity of the sun holds the solar system together. Everything in the galaxy revolves around it because of it's gravitational pull (because it's the largest thing in our solar system. If there was no solar gravity and all the planets, asteroids, moons, and comets would fly off into interstellar space.
