What is the best diode for 12V & 20A?

I'm going to controll the direction of a wiper motor(12V & 20A max) via a relay as below.
For ex: let's get the 2 possition of the motor as A & B. so i'm giving the + end & - end of a battery to A & B at the same time. so via a relay i decide which end of the motor shoud be + or -. but because of the short circuit, the + & - ends of the battery are short at both ends of the motor. so i need to put a diode to cut off this short circuit & guide the direction of the current as i need.
i don't knw whether you got my idea or not.
so my question is what the best diode which can handle 12V & 20A of forward & backward current?

Just use a double pole double throw relay and switch polairaty no need for diode
the two poles of relay to positive and neg of batt switching poles to motor leads control coil with switch
