What kind of glue is used to glue optic lenses together?

I have a rifle scope that I want to desolve the bond between the lenses and then reglue them together.

Just curious, why? Once you break the seal you will not be able to keep water or condensation out of the lens as you will remove the inert gases that they put into the lens for fog reduction. So again, why? Susu
