I laugh when we exit Sam's club with a substantial number of items. The clerk who takes the receipt, glances at it and glances at the contents of the cart doesn't even spend a enough time to conclude that what's on the ticket is what's in the basket. So what is he really looking for? Something that would stick out like a sore thumb like a TV? If they are that concerned that somebody's going to place an extra item into the basket after being rung up, they should insist on having an escort walk the customer out the door.
