If you are asking if you are depressed, than there is a good chance that you are. There could be many reasons that one may feel fatigued, understimulated or even depressed. Changes in your diet, environment and personal life could all be factors. If you start a workout program on a regular basis it may help stimulate you and release some endorphins to lesson this feeling of depression. Also, you may need to weed out some things in your life that are making you feel unhappy and start replacing them with things that will bring you joy. If you are unsure and can't get out of this slump than I would seek the medical advice of your primary doctor. Best of luck to you!

Depression is a simple word for what could constitute a very wide variety of symptoms and clinical disorders.
Every person, at one time or another, feels "depressed" over some situational problem (such as rain on an important day). If that's all you experience from time to time, you may be overreacting or overanylyzing your mood.
The degree to which you let depression affect your ability to take care of yourself and your responsibilities on a daily basis, provides a clearer picture of whether or not you have "clinical depression" or a "depressive disorder."
If you are so sad or feel worthless to an extent that your mood affects your behavior and you find yourself withdrawing or acting agitated; or if you cannot think clearly; or if you are either not sleeping or sleeping too much; then you may meet the criteria for any one of many types of depressive disorders.
But there's also the consideration of specifiers, meaning, how you may act or react to positive activities; or whether your mood is depressive only in episodes rather than chronically; or whether or not you experience hallucinations or delusional thinking; or whether the depression is related to or caused by another medical condition or the use of drugs/alcohol.
The combination of ALL symptoms taken into consideration by noone other than a qualified mental health professional (usually a psychiatrist) will ultimately help you determine an accurate diagnosis.
As you are apparently concerned about your depression, I would definately consider scheduling a consultation with a psychiatrist. You can check the internet or phonebook for listings and call to ensure that they take your insurance. Don't be afraid that they are going to call you crazy or "lock you away," they are truly there to help you. If you don't like what he or she has to say or recommend, you do not have to comply, but if the Dr. prescribes medication, I would recommend giving it a try.
Many people (including myself) take anti-depressants, and it is not a stigma like it was years ago. In fact, nobody needs to know about it if you prefer to keep it that way. Also, if you do start medication, it is important to return to the physician for followup to discuss the effectiveness of the medication and any side effects you may be experiencing. Sometimes you may have to try a few different medicines before finding the right one for you.
If you do not have insurance, and the depression is not getting any better, please don't ignore it. Go to a public hospital Emergency Room and seek a consult there. You can always apply for "Chaity Care" which will pay for your hospital visit.
