Does anyone know the age/value of this possible antique?

The dishes are light gold with a light blue trim, black line dividing them. Center of plate has rough drawing of woman (?) in blue in front of house (?) with cherryblossom tree and blooms overhead. Cups have bright gold handles. Thanks in advance for any info. Emblem on back says HANDPAINT curved on top and MADE IN JAPAN curved on bottom with two diamonds in center with T in the center of each diamond. We are dealing with estate stuff and have no clue about this or where to sell it in Houston if it is worth anything. Thanks in advance for your information.

Without a photo it is hard to estimate the value of the dishes. Also, the condition of the dishes are another factor. Search your local newspaper or the local Yellow Pages for antique dealers in the Houston area. Take the dishes to several dealers and obtain apprasials. If you are looking to see the dishes, sell to the Dealer which gives you the highest apprasial.

There is a web site where you can submit digital pictures of your item, pay about $6.50 and receive a report with a price estimate with 48 hours. It is staffed by 19 experts, all of whom have worked for either Sotheby's and Christie's auction houses. www.valuemystuffnow.com
