Is stealing a misdemeanor ar a felony?

Is stealing under $30.00 considered a felony or a misdemeanor? If it is your first offense and your case gets dismissed in court will this still show up in a CORI check or in your criminal record?

Depends on what state you live in, but $30 would probably be considered a misdemeanor. It will probably be on your record, although you could get it expunged or sealed. Talk to the DA about it.

I agree - typically under $500 is a misdemeanor.

Stealing is still bad regardless.
