Store charges more then their advertised price?

I went to the local grocery store and they had Pepsi advertised for $5.99 for three 12pks and then one dollar more for any over the three. The signs were on all the Pepsi products (Sierra Mist, etc.), but the register rang up at $6.99 for each of the three i had, and the clerk would only argue the add, I just had her remove the items from my sales, rather then cause a bigger scene. This is the fourth time this has happened to me at this store. One time, they refunded the overcharge and said sorry. I just want to know, because it happens so often here, is there some law that requires them to be more honest? How many people are getting ripped off because they are not watching the price that is scanned at the register.

I live in Nevada and went to a store in Ely

Most times the problem is the management missed changing the price to the sale price in the computer. It could also be that the owner wants to slip something by the customers who aren't paying attention and they don't necessarily like having to follow the flyers. Chances are, you could take the receipt to the manager and they will be able to fix it for you. The employee needs their permission anyway.
