Maybe it drops down the cheek bones or moves the muscles in a way that makes it easier to apply... I dk - going to have to try that tomorrow and I'll let you know!

The one that I think is funny that I have just discovered, is when you start feeding a baby food on a spoon, you can't keep your mouth closed! It's pretty funny!

By opening the mouth the eyes open wider. The skin pulls downward thus pulling the lower lids down as well, hence your eyes are more open. It's not a planned action; it's just a way of protecting the eye from that brush while trying to get at the eyelashes for proper application. It just doesn't look that natural because after all -is painting eyelashes really that normal?! (It does look good, though)
