Since you are so worried about this situation, why don't you go ask a priest?

It wouldn't be a sin, I can assure you this. I just really can't understand why someone would want to be buried by an ex! Where you are buried or how you are preserved or anything such as that wouldn't be a sin unless their was some kind of witchcraft involved. But, like mma_mom said..go ask a preist, because if our answers down ease your mind...you may need more convincing. But, seriously, its not a sin.

It's certainly not a sin. When you die (in Christian belief), you're soul is separated from your body and you're body no longer matters. God doesn't care if you are cremated, or who your ashes are next to. Burials, cremations and funerals are all human inventions to greive a loved ones passage from life into death. So no, it would not be a sin, but if it would cause hurt and pain in a family it should certainly be reconsidered.
