Can everyone be forgiven?

So I hear always that God forgives all. What about murder, molest, and rape? If faced with it, no one wants to go to hell and will definitly ask to go to heaven, sincerly want to be forgiven. Does that mean you can murder and rape your whole life, get caught, then get scared and pray for forgivness? Like if you are sentenced to death and have the time to think about what you have done, chances are you will start to worry about your eternal life after you die. Does that mean we will share heaven with lifetime sinners? If God forgives all, why do we worry about living right if we can join in and get out at any time? And I don't mean thoughtless acts then prayer, I mean if we are faced with death like terminal disease, prison, or even in accidents, if we have time to think about it we will sincerly want forgiveness no matter how bad we lived our lives or what kind of people we are. So God forgives us, and we go to heaven? A lifetime of sins canceled out in one terrified prayer? Please don't get me wrong I pray and I attend church also, this is just something I have been thinking about for a while.

Yes anyone can be forgiven. There are conditions to this though. You cannot go through your entire life sinning expecting to get a free pass later. The Lord will only try to prompt you so many times to accept Him but then He will eventually stop. There are some who will go to heaven even though they did not accept Christ until close to the end, just like the thief on the cross. Jesus said to the thief in Luke 23:43 - And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” However, Jesus knows the condition of your heart and if you do not respond to his multiple prompts to come unto Him, then your continual denial is your answer. To be truly saved is a condition of the heart. You must be truly repentant of your sins, willing to make restitution and turn from those sins and live for Jesus, no matter how much time you do or don't have. This is dying to self. What you want no longer matters it is all about Him. It is about wanting a personal relationship with Him. Many people who are terrified will call on Jesus (some of them who went to church every Sunday and even did charitable things but for the wrong reasons), but here is what He has to say about them. Matthew 7: 21-23 - (21) "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23)And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." There is a difference between being religious and saved. Again, it is about relationship and the true condition of the heart.

Job 34:20-22 warns against presuming that you still have time. (20) In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. (21)For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his goings. (22)There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
There is only one unpardonable sin and that is denying the Holy Spirit. This is found in Matthew 12:31-32 - (31) "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. (32)And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." You will know if you have committed this for no spiritual impression will ever come to your soul again. You will be completely given over to Satan.

You stated, "Like if you are sentenced to death and have the time to think about what you have done, chances are you will start to worry about your eternal life after you die. Does that mean we will share heaven with lifetime sinners?" Sweetheart, WE ARE ALL SINNERS! One sin is no worse than the other. Sin separates us from God. This causes us to be enslaved. There is a difference of sin in the Christian. We are no better than anyone else, but we know that living a life in which we practice sin is different than slipping up once in a while. We may tell a lie, think a lustful thought (which is committing adultery in your heart), or wish someone would die (murder with the heart). The list goes on and on. As Christians though, as soon as we do one of these, we should feel remorse and ask for forgiveness.

I know you go to church, but do you know what it takes to be truly saved? Salvation is not just the desire to avoid Hell, there are steps that must be taken. If someone asked you today, what must I do to be saved, what would you tell them? I realize that Satan is really working to shake you up since this is the second question I have tried to answer for you. Therefore it is my job to make sure that it is just doubt and not the uncertainty of your life itself.

If there are any other questions you have, or if you want more examples or clarification on anything, or if I haven't addressed something, Please feel free to ask. I want to make sure that I see there! God Bless, Susu

Therein lies the problem with religions that believe in an all-forgiving god. In today's "American" society it appears the only thing one must do to be forgiven is to show remorse or be "saved." Whether or not behaviors or acts can be forgiven depends entirely on your own personal belief system. If you personally believe murder, rape and associated crimes are unforgiveable, then that's exactly the way it is . . . the way you believe. Nobody has a right to dictate your personal beliefs on matters like that. As for heaven and hell, yes; current Christian doctrine would suggest you can be the most horrific human being alive and accept Jesus on your deathbed and go to heaven. So it follows logically that priests who rape young children are already forgiven by God since the priests are already "saved," and most of them have confessed. Heaven must be a pretty sorry place.

Many of the Eastern religions have a more practical view on criminal behavior. They believe the quality of your next life (after death) is based solely on the way you live this life. So if you're bad this lifetime, you'll have a miserable life the next time around. If you're good in this life, your next life will be better. There's no last-minute being "saved" or confessing in order to improve your next life.

The main objective here is for you to fabricate a fantasy you can be happy with. Good luck.

God has called us. The Bible tells us clearly He has called us. Who are called? Those who will hear His voice and follow Him. If you hear His voice, you stop doing what is wrong. A desire is born in you to do what is right. You follow Him. You know how to follow Him be reading the Word of God, which is Holy Spirit inspired. The Spirit also lives within you, so you have the desire to do good. And those who do not hear His voice, who do not want to hear His voice, will go to hell. And if you turn away from Him, were you really following Him, or was it just a craze? Look at the two men on the cross. Ons heard what Jesus said and was saved at the last minute. The other one was not interested.
