First do you realy know what the bible is == it is a compilation of stories family histories various authors from scolars to deciples letters to churches and prophets sprinkeled with history and beliefs of the times in which it was written ---but mostly it is a guide on how to and not to live your life to set guides for right and wrong --our concepts of right and wrong come from the bible . the bible was 1500years in the making its works were put together by various religous groups -- the largest group was the catholic church and has a few more books than the revised king james version the cathloic church sits on even more works that they excluded and will never see the light of day ===the bible gives hope and guidance to survive life and its hardships ===the proof the bible has been matched with history and the sciences for hundreds of years and in some cases used as a reference for the history ==== the dinosaurs died out 50million years ago and not realy relevant to the time of the bible how would explain fossils if you found them 2000 years ago ==man is one of the most visious killing machines ever to develop on this planet without its guidance well just listen to the newes every day====the planets and the univirse well in the times of the bible the stars had a whole different meaning there were no other planets just the stars and the legends that surrond them ===if you look at other religions around the world they all have simular concepts bases on a supreme god and lesser gods again to help the people and guide them through life ===the earth is billions of years old there is a geological record in the rocks of its development there is the fossil record that shows how life developed on this planet ===the point is the bible is both history and faith based god and jesus are faith based a good faith system is very important as to how we live our lives and life is change and with change comes knowlegeand doubt a little understanding and many many questions the ones based in faith the answers come from within but i will tell you this if you want to have some fun get your preacher involved in this discussion ==plus i garantee you that my answer will catch a lot of flack== if you are ever in doubt about god or your faith be quiet look and listen to the marvels of life and what it takes for it to happen

What about religion?
So my wife and I attend church, in fact we are long standing members. I am a little confused about a few things like, why is there no dinosaurs in the bible? there is proof they existed. What about the universe? we know there are other planets, why would God create such a far reaching thing for no reason? Where is the proof this stuff in the bible existed, we have text and artifacts confirming alot of things but almost nothing confirming the bible text or even the existance of Jesus at all. It seems like if all of these miracles actually happened, there would be something other than one text confirming this. I believe in God, and pray to him but I feel like I am blindly following something I was taught at a young age instead of something I actually believe in my heart. Please don't answer with things like: Its in the bible, Just pray about it, or things like that unless you have more to go along with it.

Lets start with the dinosaur question. The word Dinosaur was created long after the Bible was written, so it is hard to say if there was even a way for them explain what they saw when they were writing the Bible. But lets look at this: Jeremiah 51:34 tells, "he has swallowed me up like a dragon..." which brings to mind the way many carnivorous reptiles swallow their prey whole. Both dragons (serpents) of the sea (Psalm 74:13) and field (Isaiah 43:20) are mentioned. Could those not be some sort of dinosaur?
As far as your question about the expanse of the universe remember, Isaiah 55:8-9; 8 “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Now, let us look towards the future at Revelations. There are so many things that God showed to Daniel that were nothing like anything he had ever seen before, so he used whatever knowledge he had at the time to describe them. For example, a locust with the face of a man, the teeth of a lion, a breastplate of iron, a tail than can sting, and wings that make the sound of many chariots, could this be a helicopter? If so, you would not see the word helicopter in the Bible. So even though dinosuars may have been created, the word itself was not, so why would you expect to see it in the Bible?
Besides Hebrews 11:1 tells us that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". Do not let Satan attack your beliefs. Stand firm and remember that God is not the author of confusion. And yes, pray. Ask God to reveal to you if what I am saying is true, believe me, I had never given it thought until I read your question, but God gave me the answers, for this was not anything I could have come up with on my own! I belive there's so much B4 the creation ADAM / EVE that we are not told because GOD was uninpressed with the things the trinaty had created and yet there are some things prehistoric (eg;crocadiles) that are still around today.
you see I have firm faith through life and the restoration /healing of my own (the trinity has made beuty for ashes ) has transformed my dark life into a light for jesus because he is the WAY, THE TRUETH & LIFE (JOHN 14 V 6a) and if by chance heavan/hell are not real I do not care 4 the life that Ihave now is way better than I everhad doing cig's,alc,drugs-and-being a biker.
