Mahalo has the best site to find out the truth about the latter day saints. It is the official site for the church. There are a lot of sites that have anti-mormon literature, but if you really want to know what they believe, the official site is best.

My parents are LDS - www.mormon.org IS NOT the official site of the LDS church, it is www.lds.org As for the children who were removed from the Yearning for Zion ranch, they are FLDS Fundementalist Latter Day Saints, a spin-off from the LDS church headed up by Warren Jeffs. The LDS church no longer practices polygamy or recognizes such unions. This is one of the main reasons that this group exists. Another splinter church from the LDS church is the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS) now called Community of Christ (as of 2001). The LDS belive very similar to christians, with one very distinctive difference: while they proclaim to believe in the Fathe, Son and Holy Spirit, they do not believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Trinity) as stated in the bible. Also, they believe that if you die before accepting Christ as your personal Saviour, then you will get a second chance before the judgement day. This contradicts the Bible. Once you die, that's it. If in fact that were true, why then would they try to insist that each young male go a mission for 2 years when they turn 18? Why not just let people die and then get saved? This is just one of several contradictions I have found while being raised "Mormon". There are too many things they believe to ppost here so ...Any other questions? feel free to ask. Susu
