I live in Wyoming,When I fish in a still lake for Trout I like to use a slip line bobber ,with a 1/8oz rubber core sinker about 16 inches above the hook and fish with a live minnow on for bait and adjust the slip line boober to 5 to 6 ft at the stopper.This way when its still the minnow really attracts the fish to bite
