Canadian laws regarding placing sports bets through british authorized betting services

Can i make money legally through placing bets through an british authorized betting service and are there any tax implications for any profits i would make

I would contact your local government tax people.

In the US we outlawed any online gambling regardless where that site is located. And their fore can't do it at all.

I'm not sure if Canada has similar laws or not
