Debt summons
I have just received a summons for a debt of over $11k. I lost one of the jobs I had and then fell incredibly behind. I had come to Florida from Washington, DC to start a brand new life. I am 35 battled alcohol addiction in DC, got divorced, went to rehab and move to florida and tried to start a new life here in Florida from scratch. Really with nothing. I have had the same job since coming here in July of 2006 and had 2 jobs up until they didnt need me anymore for the other job. So I lost a good 30-40 hours a week. That is also when my childsupport also kicked in. I do not and will not miss a payment of that. I am really upset and sick about this and I really have no idea what step to take. I really cant afford a lawyer and I have 14 more days until court. If you could please try and guide me in the right direction, it would be deeply appreciated. By the way I am still sober since 6/24/06 Please help! Thank you John
