Fastest person on skis? Who was it, when did it happen, and what speed?

I bascialy want to know the fastest person on two skis. When did it happen and what is the official speed?

I assume this is in the GB of world records?

The Worl speed record for Skies was set by Harry Egger on May 2nd, 1999 at Les ARCS, France. His Speed was 154 MPH. WOW!!!!! To learn more about the Event go to

His name was Franz Weber, and his top speed was 138 miles per hour. So it looks like Harry has him by at least 16 MPH.
