Gel coat repair

Hi I 96 four winns which has a few chips in the gel coat towards the bottom. I have one size of a nickel and two the size of a dime with a few scratches on bottom. All damage is in the white color. I brought it to a body shop. They said it is really hard to match white.
He said since they are small it should be easy to fix myself.Just matching the color would be hard. Can you tell me what way would be the best way to fix this.
Thanks Duane

Sand the damaged spots, wipe sanded spots with acetone, get some bondo to fill the damaged areas with a putty knife. Once the bondo hardens, sand it down. You can custom order white top coat if you are concerned about the match of the white color, but a perfect match will be difficult. Then paint the areas with top coat adding hardener. Be sure to always wipe the surface with acetone before painting.Probably a 2 or 3 hour project once you get all your supplies on hand.
