Pro football game played in Jax, FL between 49ers and Jets

Many years ago, I attended a game with my family in Jacksonville, Florida where the San Francisco 49ers (I think Roger Staubach) and the New York Jets played (Joe Namath). My boyfriend says I'm crazy. Even my mom told him we were there. I vividly remember as a lady sitting behind us kept grabbing the binoculars that were around my sister's neck and almost choked her. Can you please tell me when this was? I have been looking on the Internet but haven't found it. I believe it will be in the mid to late 1960's or early 1970's. Thanks!

I don't think your crazy, but maybe a bit confused.

I think you may have attended either the AFL All-Star game on Jan 21st, 1968 at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL where Joe Namath (Jets) led the East against Daryl Lamonica (Oakland) of the West in the first half, and Namath and the East battled Len Dawson (Chiefs) in the second half...

OR

The AFL All-Star game played on Jan 19, 1969 at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL where Joe Namath led the East against John Hadl (Chargers) of the West in the first half, and Bob Griese (Miami) led the East against Len Dawson in the second half...

The fact that you have so many players and teams mixed and matched in your memory of that day leads me to believe the only answer could be an All-Star game...
