The shortest and smalles in the NFL - research question.

I would like to know who the shortest NFL player is that is active in the 2007 year and also the lightest in terms of weight (in pounds.)

I'm thinking about training for the NFL, and it would help my ego if there is someone ligher than 160 pounds and shorter than 5'10'.

Please simply list the two active players for the 2007 season.

Thanks,

I just want to correct my spelling error in my title, "smalles" should be "smallest"

is there a way to edit or modify postings?

just curious. by the way, still looking for an answer to this question.

Darren Sproles backup RB for the San Diego Chargers. He is 5'6". The shortest ever was Jack Shapiro. He was 5'2", 126 pounds.

Ogden , an offensive lineman from the Baltimore Ravens is 6'9" tall - I think he's currently the tallest. The tallest ever was Bob Bobinghanger, who was measured at a crazy 7 foot 7. Only played for one season in 1944 I think.

Wow, only 126 pounds. I imagine a 350 pound lineman would love to tackle Jack. Was he a running back?

Yeah, he was a running back for the Staten Island Stapletons in 1929. Before that I think he played a back for New York University and was only in one game for them. When he played for them he was only 5' 1/2" and 119! He's brave I'll give him that.

I couldn't imagine being 5 foot 2 and playing in the NFL.

the cheerleaders would be bigger then him. LOL
