My favorite race is the only one that I do every year. I'm from Northern Colorado and greeley has their Race for the Cure every 4th of July in the morning and it ends downtown greeley right on the UNC campus where they have the parade (which I have never missed in my life :) So when we are done with the race, I find my parents who always have orange juice and breakfast goodies and we watch the parade. It wouldn't be summer without it. It's only a 5k, but I always see people there that I haven't seen since the last year, so it's a social event too!

My favorite race was the Boulder Backroads Marathon, that is, before the owners sold it and the race went downhill. Maybe the Bolder Boulder with up to nearly 60,000 other people running a 10k at the same time. Quite a feat in organization if you ask me.
My favorite race that I haven't run is Badwater. A mere 135 mile race, through death valley in the middle of summer. Props to people who run that each year and win like Dean Karnazes, the ultramarathon man.
